So, why do Covenant Apostolics meet in small groups "house to house"?
1. The New Testament model always included groups of believers gathering in private homes. 2. With three thousand souls added to the church in a single day, (Acts chapter 2) only a "house to house" fellowship could have accommodated such numbers. 3. In each city where the Apostles established "Churches" their common practice was to continue to fellowship in the homes of those who were converted. 4. When Saul persecuted the church in Acts 8:3, he did not go from "Church" to "Church" to arrest Christians but rather had to go into "every house". 5. Though "Public" Preaching and Teaching is needed, it can't by itself fulfill the whole Apostolic model of fellowship & discussion. 6. The "home meetings" allow for all believers to be actively involved in the "ministry" as they should be. 7. A New Testament Church without "House to House" meetings is simply not scripturally verifiable neither would it be able to accommodate a sweeping revival such as that recorded in the New Testament. 8. The "house to house" structure allows the church to establish quickly and easily in any city, and in any culture.
