The Honest Truth You Never Heard In Church About Commandment # 1 One God
To accomplish Constantine's vision for a "universal" Roman Church, the first commandment would have to be destroyed. This "Hebrew" idea of one, indivisible God simply would not harmonize with the polytheistic, pagan ideas that would need to be merged into this massive Universal Church. The Hebrew people are known the world over for their strict "mono-theism". Mono meaning "ONE" and "Theism" refering to "GOD". Thus, the Jewish Christians of the first century would have flat-out rejected the notion that God is "divisible" or that He exists as a "Trinity" of three distinct persons. This is why the words "Trinity" or "Triune" or "Co-equal" are NEVER found in scripture. These terms began to show up in church documents more than a hundred years after the Apostles were all dead. Most of the early believers had been brought up with the "Shema" (Deut. 6:4) as a central foundational truth. "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord" Because of this, they believed that Jesus was this "ONE GOD" manifested in the flesh. (I Timothy 3:16) They did not believe Jesus was a second person "in" the Godhead. Rather, they taught that the fulness of the Godhead was "in" Jesus. (Col 2:9) In the year 324 A.D. Emperor Constantine held a councel of the newly formed Roman Universal Church. The encyclopedia "Britanica" records that this meeting was held in the city of Nicea. The primary purpose of this meeting was to develop and impliment a more Roman i.e Pagan and therefore more acceptable view of God. Ultimately Rome's conclusion was this... God in "Three" Persons, Blessed Trinity This God of three persons was a much easier concept to accept for the pagan citizens throughout Constantine's vast Roman Empire. The words of Jesus are clear... "Except ye believe that "I AM" He, Ye shall die in your sins", and "Before Abraham was, "I AM", and "He that hath seen me hath seen the father". Satan has worked dilligently to destroy the first century truth that Jesus is the "I AM" manifested in flesh, and thus has effectively established a trinitarian church which freely breaks God's first Commandment... "THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS" Covenant Apostolics, however, believe and keep this Commandment. Thereby rejecting Rome's triune god made up of three distinct persons. We believe Jesus is Jehovah manifest in flesh. Notice the connection in the two names when they are spoken in Hebrew "Yah"shua (Jesus in Hebrew) and "Yah"hoveh (Jehovah in Hebrew) . "Yah" being the name of God (psalms 68:4) is the foundation of both names. In "Yashua" the "Yah" is modified by the Hebrew word "Shua" which means "salvation", therefore giving us "Yah" is salvation. In "Yahoveh" the "Yah" is modified by the Hebrew word "Hoveh" which means "I AM" or "Eternally Existing One" therefore giving us "Yah" is Eternal. In either case "Yah" is the same God whether manifested as "Yah"shua or, "Yah"hoveh. For More Click Here
